You blink your eyes and months just pass by it seems. This blog has sat silent for that reason for too long. The last few months had a large move to a different state halfway across the country, some medical procedures, a lot of going away moments and led to this here. This will be a more personal post as I get back into the swing of things here at For the Sake of Gaming, but I want you to know that things are going to be back to the way they were on scheduling and many more exciting things to come.
So the move. My significant other and I moved from small-town Nebraska to Las Vegas Nevada. She had graduated from college and given an offer to work on buildings out here, so here we are. I’m proud of that girl and she pushes me to try new things as well. In fact, I left a job I had worked my way up to the top and now get to have a new adventure in the workplace and life.
There was a lot of nervousness to come to a place like this after being in the Midwest for so long. A lot of that is leaving friends and family behind and starting fresh, but as far as I can tell you only live once and need to take these chances. They lead to things like you suddenly getting to workout every morning or finally starting on that large project you and a friend always chatted about. So even after being out here for only about two weeks, I can feel all the worry and stress dissipating. Plus waking up every morning and it being sixty degrees and not negative twenty is a plus.
The delays that happened with the blog also compounded as we shared this computer and she was working on her finals projects. I was working the busy season of my job and I had to have some things removed medically to prevent them from turning into cancer. Just remember if something feels off go to the doctor, I know it’s expensive as hell, but it is better than the alternative. We got really lucky we barely caught this in time folks.
So gaming, where am I going with it? The stress that led up to getting here didn’t allow me to play much. Magic Arena is still going heavy, and lots of little moments in gaming here and there of course, but what next?
The streaming on here will be happening sooner rather than later. The articles about gaming as a culture and lifestyle will continue heavy as well as your normal gaming motivation. I just don’t like my friends (you) being sad and want to help get you up and moving if I can. This will also lead to the youtube channel that was discussed a while back and the roadmap for making FtSoG a community instead of just a blog is coming along fast.
I more than anything wanted to get this up here to let you all know that I’m not dead.
I wanted you to know plans are quickly in motion.
The hype is real and it is coming straight to you.
