We are Gamers

I am in a good mood and I want to share that with all of you people. The reason why is the past few weeks have shown me how much support the community can have when building a project. The twitch channel we have grown has shown me kindness, strength and so much laughter. So this blog post is going to be about appreciation and a reflection on the last two weeks. Then on Monday, we will have our first game review in the past few months.

Starting back in the second week of January a good friend suggested I give streaming a real try. I had experience in a sense, since the first time I went to college I went for Radio Broadcasting. Being an on-air DJ and talking to people was a blast and something I really enjoyed. The pay was poor and the career didn’t pan out to be exactly what I want, but I still learned a lot from it. Streaming came to be a new way to broadcast and the only real difference between it and radio is that you also see my face. I hope I don’t have too much of a face made for radio like the old group used to say.

It has already led me to meet some new friends in this adventure and to lean and learn from friends who were there much more than I thought they would be. The rush to affiliate was exhilarating and now we just have to look forward towards growth. Growth takes two things, time and dedication. It takes building up this blog and building up the discord tied to it for creators. It takes time for us to learn how to make an emote or make sure we have the right form of Paypal linked. Each step of the way through the community has been there. All of us gamers and all of us want to make that new friend.

Even last night when I was lost in a part of the game Ori and the Blind Forest a random stranger came to my rescue. Soon after we chatted for the next hour and they soon gave me a follow. It was a surreal experience for me that I never really had before. It was strange having known that something like this blog gets read to in real-time seeing someone interact back with you. It makes me sound emotional, but it has been breathtaking to experience all this warmth from people at once.

So we continue to grow from here. We have the Youtube channel starting soon and a podcast beginning at the end of March. Month by month and step by step this community is being built up. It is here because of people like you. It is also here for people like you. I want you to know that we are always here if you need a listen and are always willing to lend help where we can.

So stay tuned, because the sake of gaming is getting bigger by the day!
